How do I access and download my files after purchase?
Your files are delivered securely via the Shopify Order Status page—no login required.
- Right after purchase: On the Thank You page, click the “Access Digital Files” button. This opens the secure delivery page with your files, full instructions, and a tutorial video (especially helpful for iPhone users). Read the instructions before downloading.
- Via email: Check your order confirmation email (including spam/junk/promotions folders) for the “View order details” button or link. Click it to go to your Shopify Order Status page. There, click “Access Digital Files” to reach the same secure delivery page with instructions and video.
- Re-access anytime: Use the “View order details” link from your confirmation email to return to the Order Status page and click “Access Digital Files.”
Before contacting support, try these common fixes (over 95% of issues resolve here):
- Check email thoroughly: Search for “homeidealist”, your order number, or “order confirmation”. Check spam/junk/promotions.
- Use a computer if possible: Phones (especially iPhone/iPad) often save downloads in hidden spots or preview files instead of saving. On Safari: long-press link > “Download Linked File” (or switch to Chrome/Firefox). See Apple’s guide: Where to find downloads on iPhone/iPad.
- Give large files time: Bundles, template sets, or the course include multiple PDFs zipped up. Downloads can take minutes on slower connections—wait fully before opening.
- Apple/Safari tip: If files preview in-browser, it may hit download limits without saving. Force download: long-press > “Download Linked File As…” or use a different browser.
If the email is missing, links don’t work, or you’re still stuck, email support@homeidealist.com with your order number and email used. We’ll resend access to your original purchased version quickly.
I was able to download everything but I can't open the files.
This can happen due to browser settings or file compatibility issues, especially on Macs with Safari. Follow these steps to resolve it:
- Try a different browser: If you’re using a Mac with Safari, open the files using another browser like Chrome or Firefox, as Safari’s security settings may block some files.
- Check file compatibility: Ensure you have the right software for the file type (e.g., Adobe Acrobat for PDFs). Update your software if needed.
- Contact us: If the files still won’t open, email us at support@homeidealist.com with your order number and device details, and we’ll help you within 24 hours.
I'm having trouble printing the files or getting a "locked by author" error.
Our PDFs are not password-protected or locked for printing. Any "locked by author" message usually comes from the viewer software.
Quickest and most reliable fix: Open the file in a web browser like Chrome, Edge, or Firefox.
- Drag the downloaded PDF into a new browser tab, or right-click the file and choose "Open with" > Chrome/Edge/Firefox.
- Once open in the browser, use the browser's print function (Ctrl+P or Cmd+P) - it prints cleanly without errors.
This avoids most viewer-specific glitches and works consistently.

Can I share the digital templates with others or post them online?
No. Your purchase is for personal use only. You may not share, distribute, upload, email, post, or make the files (PDFs, templates, etc.) available to anyone else — including in Facebook groups, forums, social media, or file-sharing sites. Posting screenshots, excerpts, or photos of the files is also prohibited. Unauthorized sharing is copyright infringement.
Can I use these templates and then sell the finished product?
Yes, you are free to sell your own creations. You just cannot resell the templates or any other digital file that you purchase in my store. That would be a copyright violation.
Which payment methods do you accept?
We currently accepts all major credit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. We also accept Afterpay, Shop Pay (Shopify), PayPal, Google Pay, and Apple Pay.
What is AfterPay and do I start using it?
Afterpay is currently available for all HomeIdealist customers in the USA, Canada, UK (as Clearpay), Australia, and New Zealand. Afterpay offers simple payment plans, allowing a purchase to be paid for in four equal installments, due every fortnight—interest-free! Simply choose Afterpay as your payment method at checkout. First-time customers will need to provide payment details as usual, while returning customers can log in to make their purchases. It’s that easy!
Afterpay allows you to buy now and pay later! Pay when it suits you best over four equal installments that are due every two weeks.
To use Afterpay, just add items to your cart, go to checkout as usual, and then select Afterpay as your payment method. If you have used Shop Pay (Shopify) before, you may be logged in or prompted to log into your Shop Pay account. If you do, you will not see the other payment options. To use Afterpay, either skip logging into your Shop Pay account or scroll down and click on "Checkout as Guest," which will then allow you to select Afterpay. If you already have an Afterpay account, log in and complete checkout in seconds. If you’re new to Afterpay, you can sign up as you check out by following the prompts. You’ll know if you’ve been approved within seconds, and you can proceed to complete your order as you would with any other form of payment.
You’ll pay for your order in four interest-free, equal installments when you pay on time, every two weeks.
I got the wrong templates. Can I cancel my order?
Unfortunately we cannot refund you for downloads but depending on the circumstances we can help you by giving a discount for future purchases.
Is the machine included in the course?
The i-Cord Knitter Machine is not included in the course bundle. No physical products of any kind are included in the course. To see the products that I recommend please check the Tools & Supplies page.
What type of wire do you use and where do you buy it?

What type of font are using for the letter templates?
I created my own custom fonts.
I'm having issues with this template. How can I bend the wire so that it's in the right shape?
You can find a lot of of free tips on my social media channels, however if you find it difficult I would recommend that you buy my course for beginners. The course includes step by step instructions, videos and free lifetime updates. You can read what other buyers have to say by going through the course reviews.
Can I buy single templates?
No, I only sell sets and bundles.
Why do I keep seeing different prices?
I'm based in Canada so all prices are originally in Canadian dollars. If you change the currency you will see a conversion that fluctuates according to the daily bank rates. Any change in pricing is most likely the result of that.
Can I enlarge the letters?
Yes. If you have a printer you can adjust the settings accordingly to enlarge the fonts.
How do I get the free updates for the course?
If you purchased the course on my website you will receive an automatic notification every time that I update the files and you will be able to download the latest version. If you purchased the course on my Etsy shop you would need to sign up as instructed in the course notice to provide your consent to receive my emails and I will send you the updated files as they come out.
